[LM_NET] One book, one school help

Hi
I am in the process of writing a grant to do a "one book one school" event next Feb 
for our Reading Month and our Black History Month.We are an elementary school with 
grades k-5. I have had 2 possible books in mind. One is Barefoot: Escape on the 
Underground Railroad and the other is Martin's Big Words. When I started thinking 
about this project, both were available in paperback for good prices. However, at 
present, I can't find these at the good price. Some sites tell me that Barefoot is 
out of print and the ppbk is now 14.00+ each.
My questions for you who have done one book, one school are:
1. Where did you purchase titles in large amts? I will need 700 plus and
2. What other titles do you see as working with this project: to address Black 
History Month and Reading Month? Please reply directly to me.
