Here's an interesting article that touches on information literacy and the use of technology and how it applies to learning: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,2103-2136123_1,00.html Not sure I believe that using e-mail knocks 10 points off our IQ's, but I do sometimes feel like a digital immigrant and even though I can use my phone to text and download ring tones, I couldn't figure out the iPod without help. One neuroscientist predicts that dependence on the screen instead of books for information will result in people who don't know how to read or write. But...wouldn't one still need to know how to read in order to read their google searches and wouldn't one still need to know how to write in order to text and e-mail? The article has other interesting points as well.
