We produce an arts and literature magazine yearly. This year I am the
sponsor along with our graphics arts teacher.

We discussed some graphics that students have submitted. Some of these
are "montages" that have been manipulated from images found on the Web.

My understanding of copyright law allows the student to use these
images for the purpose of study, but that that they could not be
re-published, such as in our arts and literature magazine.

My graphic arts teacher has told me that none of her students will be
able to publish anything in the magazine. She is quite miffed and I am
going to be in big trouble producing the magazine on my own.

Am I right or wrong? What do I do now?
