As this is only my first year in the Media Center, I haven't many accrued
many laughable moments yet, but this one did make us shake our heads.

I work in a private school which has been in existence for almost 100 years.
During this time the school has undergone many changes, one of which was to
eliminate the high school and make the school K - 8. About a month ago a
woman called inquiring about two books about the Louvre. It seems she lent these
two volumes to the art teacher and neglected to retrieve them before she
graduated (remember there is no high school now). It was very important for her
to get them back as her mother had made a trip to Paris where she purchased the
books. This woman who called was planning a trip to Paris this summer and
would like to have the books back as reference and also felt these books were
family heirlooms. The kicker - she graduated in 1952! She had forgotten all
about the books until now (busy with graduation and such) and was wondering if
we had them on the shelves or in storage.

As it was said before - you can't make this stuff up.
