Today a teacher approached me to ask whether I had any experience with literature circles which allowed for students to discuss a book at a set time with other students from various parts of the country via an online literature circle, or "club." She had received information about this some time ago but could not tell me where it came from, and she didn't want to try this without some input from others who had experience with it. I asked whether she was referring to a literature blog, but she said it was a live type of literature conversation which is prearranged after everyone has read the book in question. If you have any experience with this, please e-mail me. Thanks so much!
