Dear Colleagues, I have a young friend (see below) who is interested in moving to NH, VT, ME, RI or Milwaukee, WI to teach High School English. I am attaching a note from her with the hope that if any of you know of job openings in your district you might give Kelly a heads-up. She's a wonderful person, as well as a dedicated and mature new teacher. I told her if ANYONE knew of jobs out there, you all would! Thanks, Toni **** I am searching for a secondary teaching position in English for fall of 2006. I will earn a Master of Arts in education in May and my secondary provisional teaching certificate in August from the University of Michigan. I am certified to teach both English and history. After seven years as an acquisitions editor in the field of nonprofit publishing, I realized it was time to pursue my true passion: teaching. I am completing a rigorous one year Master's degree program at Michigan (<http://www.soe.umich.edu/macsecondary/index.html>Secondary MAC program). I am currently student teaching at Western Internal High School in inner city Detroit where I have full responsibility for two classes of junior level American Literature for the entire semester. I have logged over 1,000 hours in the classroom. Please feel free to email me for information on my teaching philosophy, resume, or questions. Thanks for your time, Kelly Dennis School of Education Secondary MAC 2006 keldenn@umich.edu (414) 839-1554 Toni Buzzeo, MA, MLIS <mailto:tonibuzzeo@tonibuzzeo.com> Maine Library Media Specialist of the Year Emerita Maine Association of School Libraries Board Member Buxton, ME 04093 http://www.tonibuzzeo.com -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
