A scenario: A teacher has a file drawer full of articles/scenes/poems. He is sure that it is all right for him to keep copies of these year to year. He has done it for years. He has students make their own copies of his copies for instructional use in class. I say this is not copyright appropriate. It seems like the bottom line is the bottom line-- not enough funds to buy the materials for the classes. Just because it has been done for years by many people does not make it right. Right? Feel free to chime in... or help me suggest an alternative for the teacher in the scenario, please. Jackie Keith, Head Teacher-Librarian Riverbend High School 12301 Spotswood Furnace Rd.
