SURVIVOR 2006

Administrators and Library Media Specialists Working Together!

Date: June 8, 2006
Time: 8:30-3:30pm
Location:
North Elementary School
440 N. 10th Street
Noblesville, Indiana 46060

Featured Speaker:
Dr. Gary Hartzell
Professor Emeritus of Educational Administration
University of Nebraska at Omaha.

After serving as a high school teacher, assistant principal, and principal in
California, Dr. Hartzell completed his doctorate at UCLA in 1990 and joined the
educational administration\faculty at UNOmaha. His research interests center on
schools as workplaces for adults, with particular attention to workplace
relationships. In the last few years, he has especially concentrated on the
roles and relationships among school librarians and their colleagues.

We invite administrators and library media specialists to spend the day jointly
exploring ways to develop and strengthen the library media program as an
integral part of the school that impacts student achievement! We'll talk about
ways to build successful relationships that promote strong media programs that
help schools meet their improvement goals.
