Does anyone know if papers written in MLA format require one space or two after periods in the body of the paper? I have a teacher who is requiring students to use the APA format for the first time, and use one space after periods. We weren't sure about the newest MLA requirements. We do not have a copy of the most recent MLA handbook available (it has "walked" away). Is this stipulated in MLA, or is it teacher preference? Thanks for any help you can provide!
