Hello everyone, We just learned here that one of our two elementary schools will be closing next year, and the students, teachers, and library materials will be moved to the other school. I'm looking at the task of consolidating two libraries that have been run independently up until now. Most likely, we will be moving the one library into the other by the middle of June. I've been reading postings in the archives concerning moving a library, so I've got plenty of ideas about how to make the physical move. My questions are for anyone who has moved a "new" library into an existing library. What should I know before I start? Obviously, I've got to consider the issue of physical space, but do you have any other suggestions for me? Both libraries were extensively weeded in the last two years, so we are in pretty good shape that way. I imagine we'll find more to weed as we go along. I'll post a hit of your responses. Thanks, Peg Peg Alexander, MLIS Librarian Muskegon Catholic Central High School/Middle School Muskegon, MI malexand@gmcs.org -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
