Hello Everyone!

 

It is time for a transition in my life and after 10 years I'm leaving my
current position.  So, that means that there will be a school library job
open next year in Madison, AL.  I'm placing a description and contact
information here.

 

St. John the Baptist Catholic School, Madison, AL, with enrollment of
approximately 450 students is seeking a school library media specialist.
Successful candidate will perform all collection development, cataloging,
and bibliographic instruction.  Will collaborate with other faculty on
curriculum planning & instructional units.  Needs knowledge of print and
electronic reference sources appropriate for a K-8 school, including the
Alabama Virtual Library.  Alabama teaching certification required, may be
working toward library degree at the time of employment.  Pay is
commensurate with experience according the diocesan pay scale.  

 

St. John the Baptist Catholic School is a ten-year-old, SACS accredited
school located near Huntsville, Alabama.  The school has a solid reputation
in the community and consistently has the highest or second highest
standardized test scores in the Diocese of Birmingham.  The school has a
computer lab with fulltime computer teacher.  For more information, you may
