After a little snafu with my book order, and some discussion with the company's accounts receivable office, it was suggested that since my parent group donates the money (and writes the checks) for all of my book orders, that we may be tax exempt. I spoke with my parent group treasurer who says that we are tax exempt when we sell items (book fair), but doen'st know how it works for purchases... Has anyone dealt with this situation?
