Speaking of Laura Ingalls Wilder, I have to share this story.
We have a first grade girl whose mother is expecting the child's first
sibling. She is getting to name the baby (something dear to my heart since
my sister named me when she was seven). Apparently her mother has read the
Little House books to her, and Korie has decided that if the baby is a
girl that she wants to name her Laura. She has tried to convince her
parents that Laura Ingalls Baker sounds like a good name! And if it is a
boy, she thinks Almanzo would work!
I think she is going to get the Laura, but I don't think the rest of it is
going to fly! They found out today that the baby is a girl....
