We have created blogs using edublogs, 1 each for elementary, middle and high school students in our large county. The idea is we (media spcialists) will post about books on our state reading list and encourage students to write comments about the books they have read. We have concerns because others have mentioned it's not safe if anyone can comment at anytime and should have a log in so it isn't open to the whole world. What has your experience been with students responding? Have you done this? If so, how is it working out? I'm wondering if we are off track and we should just use it as a blog where we are posting information of interest about reading and books rather than a big focus on trying to get a dialog going with the students. Any input is welcome-thanks for your time.
