I have a recreation leader who is looking for a book that she remembers, and she says several of her staff remember this book vaguely, but no one can come up with an author or title, so I hope someone here recognizes it. She doesnıt remember how long ago she saw it, and her staff is all different ages, so I canıt give a time frame for the book. The bookıs main character is a rock with feelings, who starts his journey in a very rough state, and as his journey progresses, becomes more polished. She described the book as being a metaphor for lifeıs journey. The illustrations may be watercolors. I have searched several library catalogs and online bookstores using combinations of the words rock, stone, pebble, boulder, journey, polish. It is not ³Everybody needs a rock² by Baylor, or ³The rock² by Parnall, or ³Gift from the sea² by Banks. If anyone can help, she would be eternally grateful. Many thanks in advance, -Kathy ********************** Kathy Clark Lower School Librarian The Harker School San Jose, California kathyc@harker.org -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
