I could not find much for elementary teachers when they asked for books on
tattling or tattletales. Here are some great suggestions I received from
this great and smart group:

ARmadillo Tattletale is a hoot. It's by Helen Ketterman and the
illustrations are by Keith Graves.

Here are 3 suggestions:

Armadillo Tattletale by Helen Ketteman
A Children's Book About Tattling by Joy Wilt Berry
Chip Chipmunk by Dave and Pat Sargent

My favorite is "The Honest-to-Goodness Truth" by Patricia McKissak. It
distinguishes between tattling and telling.

This is more of a beginning chapter book - makes a good read aloud.
We gather together-- now please get lost! / Diane deGroat.
Armadillo tattletale / by Helen Ketteman ; illustrated by Keith Graves.

For the Kindergarten class, there is a series of books called Dinofours.
There must be one about tattling. The characters are four years old and
that is why I'm recommending them for kindergarten, even though the
description on Amazon states ages 4-8.

I don't know the author but the woman who used to be the guidance counsolor
at our school read one called "Tattlin' Madeline" that was really cute. Good
Luck with your search -can't wait to see the HIT!

I recently put together some books that our guidance counselors requested
and
they were from Magination Press and Childswork/Childsplay (which is part of
Sunburst Visual Media.) Both places had many books on guidance and special
ed
issues.

One book was A Bad Case of Tattle Tongue that was shown in the catalog for
Childswork, but would not come up on the web site, but is available from
Amazon.
Another one was Don't Squeal Unless its a Big Deal: A Tale of
Tattletales--Magination Press.

I can't tell you if they are really any good because I have not yet received
my
order, but at least the titles seem right. I ordered quite a few from
Magination Press and hope they live up to the title/descriptions.
