[LM_NET] ELEM: 5th grade book suggestions

I am trying to help a teacher friend with some titles for a book order.  She will 
be teaching a special ed. resource class of mainly 5th grade boys who are at-risk, 
struggling readers.  She wants to order books to create a recreational reading 
center in her classroom.  I would appreciate suggestions for books, particularly 
popular series, as well as magazines that would appeal to this target group.
