Thanks to all who responded to my request for information about how you are using audiobooks. This is an ongoing column so please keep my email for future reference. Several people asked me about AudioFile magazine so I wanted to share a bit of information about the journal. Go to http://www.audiofilemagazine.com/ for full details. It’s the only journal I’m aware of that totally covers audiobooks. If you buy the magazine (subscriptions are reasonably priced) you also get complete access to the online services. Even if you don’t subscribe, there is a lot of great free content. Audiopolis is free online audio reviews of audiobooks and most will be for young adults. Audiobooks on the Go is a pdf file of recommended family listening designed for summer and other holiday travels. You can print it off for distribution to students and staff. About 25% of the reviews are free to the public (they are marked Public). So check it out.
