Scholastic often has 6 packs of a book for anywhere from 4.95 to
10.95 through the Monthly Book club program. The online Scholastic
store, also sells 6 pks at a higher price -- like up to 19.95 or so.
I keep an eye out in the book club flyers for the titles offered at
95 cents, then I "buy" those, using bonus points that the school
earned, for the "book room" (aka the area where classroom and small
group sets of books are stored for teacher use). Our PTA runs the
Scholastic Book Club on a school wide basis, so the library gets to
spend the earned bonus points.
Other than looking for the titles, and submitting the order, I do
nothing to maintain this book room... i.e. the books are not
cataloged, processed, etc.
