[LM_NET] Email - Yahoo vs Gmail

I've had a bit of a falling out with Yahoo Mail over the last few months
because of their new filtering system.  I think it was mentioned several
times on lm_net about Yahoo filtering out mail that was sent to a certain
number of individuals.

Just wanted to let you know, that while I haven't given up Yahoo Mail
entirely, I have moved all of the listserv subscriptions I have to Google's
GMail and I LOVE IT - especially in reference to listserv subscriptions.
Here's why...say someone posts to Lmnet with the subject of "Graphic Novels"
there is the initial post and then the potential for many RE:Graphic Novel
responses...filtering through all of that can take a lot of time.  However,
Gmail will automatically thread (right term?) the emails for you!  So, if
you leave the office on Thursday and someone posts "Book Challenge" and
there are 52 responses, when you come back it will look like this in the
subject line: Book Challenge (52) - you read the initial post and responses
all in one look - too cool!

I know we aren't supposed to endorse on this listserv, but this really has
made listserv management easy!  Just an FYI!!!
