Hi, Recently I ran into a former student I had at the elementary level
years ago. (She would now be about 36 years old.) She told me she
would love to find a favorite book she claims I read to her class long
ago. Here goes: Of course she remembers it was a thick grey book...and
it was about a hunter who rescued a mermaid from the ocean, they fell in
love and had a baby. I am 99% sure I never read a story like that to my
students, but am wondering if anyone knows this book or story? It
almost sounds as if it was a fairy tale from an anthology of some sort.
Any ideas?? Thanks, Sara
