Help! I have a request from my principal that I can't seem to think of. She is wanting a "holiday-ish" sort of story to read to 4th grade. One that is appropriate for sharing the importance of diverse beliefs or a funny one that is not religion-based in any way. We do have a diverse community and I am finding that it is difficult to share December holiday stories. Diwali (India) is in October, Ramadan (Middle East) is in November. When I talk about Hanukkah and Christmas I have quite a few kids that don't celebrate either. So what books can anyone recommend for a "holiday-ish" (her words) book?
