I recently (last week) a letter from the SmartTech people that they are
changing this procedure and will no longer require the grant
applications, but will offer SMartBoards at the reduced price for all
educational facilities. Unfortunately, I discarded the letter and I
don't remember when this new policy was to take effect. I'd recommend
that you check with them before proceeding, if you plan to order
SmartBoards.

Hello Everyone!
My school will be purchasing 4 new SmartBoards for the 2007-08 school
year. 3 of those 4 SmartBoards will be permanently mounted in
classrooms. Any teacher interested in having the SmartBoard mounted
permanently in their room has to fill-out a smartboard mini-grant
application.
The application asks about out technology training, examples of how we
would use the smartboard, how often we will use it, and how we will use
the smartboard to help other staff and also help other staff
collaborate. I have put together a list for each of these categories.
If any of you are also smartboard users and have some suggestions as to
what I could include in my mini-grant I would greatly appreciate your
help.
