Hello all, I am searching for two books on behalf of students that used to attend my school. They are now grown with children of their own and would like to read the books to their families. Do you recognize either of these? 1. A book that was read in the Fall around Halloween. It had the repeated refrain "deep in the forest" or "deep, deep in the forest". It is NOT "Deep in the Forest" by Brinton Turkle. 2. A Christmas book perhaps similar to "The Legend of the Poinsettia". In this story there are church bells that are broken/won't ring. The little girl is embarrassed that the only gift she has to give is a little carved lamb. She leaves the gift at the manger and the church bells ring. I hope you can help! Please reply to the email address below. Thanks in advance, Barb Shoemaker Barbara J.
