I want to post a target for a read-aloud for 4th graders. I have duty every morning. I have been reading to the PrK, K, and 1st graders in the gym. They pull out their library books, and I read as many as I can in the 20 minutes we are in there. Next week, due to too many students in our cafeteria, I will begin duty in the library with 4th graders. The expectation was for them to come in and read quietly. I know with the group that we have this year, that won't happen. So I have volunteered to read to them. I want something that is going to appeal to both the boys and girls. This grade level is not a reading group. Very few of them bring back their books each week, so I want somthing that is going to get their attention and keep it. Any suggestions would be apprecaited. I will post a HIT. Seantele Foreman Librarian C.J.
