Thank you for your very informative e-mail about the 65% rule. My first question is -- how can authorities base decisions on out-dated information -- i.e -- 1957?? -- do "they" know how old this information is?? How can we get the word out? I'm just amazed that they are basing major decisions on information that has not been updated in almost 50 years! This is inexcusable. Please advise how to best advocate for librarians as instructors and libraries as places of instruction. Personally, I have a B.S. in Sec. Edu., a MLIS in library and information sciences, and two teaching certificates, both life-long, one from the state of Tennessee and the other from Texas. What else do they want?? Sorry-- I know I'm preaching to the choir -- will quietly get off my box and try to calm down.
