[LM_NET] looking for book

Hello all!  I am looking for a book for an 8th grade boy, who is at
about a 6th or 7th grade reading level on responsibility and maturity.
We need something that will hopefully captivate him.  I suggested
Touching Spirit Bear, but the counselor working with him wants something
a bit less dramatic to start with.
