While not exactly the answer to this question, I recommend keeping a
journal-style book for returning graduates. I keep one labeled "Advice
from Alumni", and students who come back to visit seem to enjoy writing
to seniors approaching graduation. My seniors love reading what the
alumni have written - - and seem to believe them when they write things
like, "Don't procrastinate!" (More credible coming from a former
student than from yet another teacher, I think.) It's also nice to have
when you're too busy to have much of a chat with a visitor, which is a
lot of the time.
