Dear LM_NET: I need suggestions for a contest. A local artist has offered to make copies of art prints of his original paintings and frame them for prizes for a reading contest. Here's the deal: I hate to turn him down but I'm not sure we will have much interest. The middle school students take AR tests and get prizes for certain percentages earned. The high school students write book responses--2 each quarter. The special ed students take AR tests. I have very few dedicated readers. What do you suggest? Turn down the offer. Have a contest for most books read? How do I know they read them? Have the student who writes the most reviews for the back of the books win? Thanks for your help.
