[LM_NET] Target: Volunteer handbooks

     Just a few weeks ago there was a posting which included a fantastic 
website with a volunteer handbook that I had hoped to use as a guideline for one 
which I am writing for my own media center volunteers this year. I thought I 
had bookmarked it before I left for vacation, but now I cannnot find it again. I 
have also checked the archives to no avail.
     The site gave instructions for volunteers on everything from 
confidentiality, telephone answering etiquette, shelf reading, etc. to shelving 
"how-to." 
If you can help me locate this site, I would be most grateful. I am facing a 
return to school this year (the first time ever without any clerical help) in 
a school of 1200 plus students and   have a fixed schedule of classes every 
day, all day long. I also do a morning news show during the "planning time" 
given to classroom teachers before the day begins. Although I have been promised 
parent volunteers to check out and shelve books, I cannot imagine how I can 
even find the time to explain to them how to be of help to me. The volunteer 
handbook will at least give me a starting point by providing helpful information 
in a standardized format that I would not otherwise get to do myself.   Thanks
