Hi everyone,

Thanks so much for your input on library videos. I did have a few but was looking
for something new and different. I have compiled responses as follows.

Video suggestions:

3 Video set:
"Using the Library", "The Dewey Decimal System", and "Using the Internet".

World Almanac has some good videos for introducing the library.

Visit www.libraryvideo.com for good selections.
"Using the Library"
"Library Skills for Children"

"Charley Chapters"
and
"Media Mania" (These two had several votes).
http://www.mediaincorporated.com/html/charley_chapters.html

Media Mania presents the media center as an inviting and friendly room where
learning takes place as your students read, browse, and examine materials. The
video lessons provide introductions and the reinforcement of skills necessary to
access information in a non-threatening and interesting format. The media
specialist is presented as a helpful, concerned teacher who isalways willing to
assist students in their use of the materials in the media center. Mortimer, a
puppet, adds humor and fun to the learning process by engaging the children in
activities that result in their acquiring skills needed to conduct research, locate
books on the shelf, and simply enjoy all the resources available to them.

Other suggestions included making your own video by filming the library or creating
powerpoint presentations introducing the library.

Thanks again for everyone's help.
