Dear LM Netters, I have been asked if I would be interested in teaching in an after school program at our middle school (Grades 6-8), which is sponsored by a grant. I would do this a couple of days a week in 45 minute sessions. I mentioned a book club, but the coordinator said they had tried this and it didn't go over well. So, I wondered if you have ideas for interesting reading-related activities (I won't have access to the computer lab since they already have teachers for this) for this age group? I searched the archives for "after school programs" and didn't find exactly what I was looking for. Thanks in advance for any responses.
