Hi Arlene,
I publish a newsletter for the faculty/staff once a month.  I include mostly 
announcements (new books, book fairs, etc.), tell what skills will be 
covered that month, and give websites or other informative information to 
enhance the curriculum.  Here is one that is attached if you want to take a 
look!  I think one three times a year is a great idea . . . at times I've 
thought about a bimontly newsletter but believe it or not---a couple of 
teachers want to know---where is their newsletter!?!
