You could link to "zines" for middle grades kids, have links to booklists
for girls and boys, maybe have a place for you to post their book reviews,
etc.

I just received the book NAKED READING: UNCOVERING WHAT TWEENS READ TO
BECOME LIFELONG READERS, by Teri S. Lesesne, and published by Stenhouse
(ISBN 1-57110-416-X). It gives some good ideas for working with this age
group!

Subject: [LM_NET] TARGET: Webpage-Reading Room?

I am spending the summer working on my library webpages and have decided to
add a Reading Room page? This will be for middle school students. I have so
many ideas that keep running through my mind...at times it's overwhelming.
My question to the group would be what basic information should I cover? I
want the pages geared for students. Should I put book reviews, links to
audio book previews, etc? I want the pages to be something that my students
will enjoy looking at and will visit often. Thanks for any suggestions or
advice. I'll post a HIT. Happy July 4th!!!
