[LM_NET] HIT: Librarian to Cover Conference Period

My name is Seantele Foreman, and I am a librarian at a PreK-4th grade campus. I 
would like to post a HIT on the librarian to become part of the rotation schedule 
to cover conference periods for next year.
   
  We have apporximatly 850 students this year and know we are going to get at least 
2 more portable buildings, if not more next year. After being told I could go to an 
A/B schedule next year (alternating weeks of seeing half of each grade level), I 
have now been informed that the library is an option to help reduce the number of 
classes that go to PE, music, and art each class period. 
   
  I have already stated various reasons why that shouldn't happen to my principal, 
but I think it has already been decided by the powers that be. But supposedly, we 
are going to have a meeting on Friday with the administrators and the other 
"special teacher" on Friday. I wanted some advice from the group on things I could 
bring up in this meeting.
   
  I have been reading the thread that has been going on about us just being 
librarians; I am feeling really low right now because I think that I am seen as 
just another place to send the kids so the "real" teachers can have their 
conference period.
   
  Oh and by the way, I do not have an aide either!
