So many of you were helpful last fall when I felt I was about to lose my sanity, that I have to jump in here about one person libraries. Prioritizing helped; a work plan for each day helped (somewhat because, of course, changes occur); student aides and a parent volunteer help with shelving; learning to let go of some of the things are key (go back to first point); keeping some of the fun stuff: question of the month and Books! Treats! and Prizes! but not the other little extras; being vocal about wear and tear on body-beginnings of carpal tunnel and a pinched nerve in shoulder from a work station set-up that is poor; asking where that aide is-have been promised one since October. Mentioning that it is services that suffer most, both teachers and students.
