Good Afternoon!
I have had great responses during parent/teacher conferences by
posted the names of students with the overdue materials with a large
sign above saying "Your child may already be a winner....Stop by the
Library for more details" .
You would be surprised to see how many people stop by for their
"prize", just to be informed they have overdue books. Then, the
parents drag the kids to their lockers to dig out the books or make
sure I get them the next day.
It is definately a fun way to collect books. The school staff laughes
when they walk the "winner" list and see parents hunting for their
child's name.
