I had something similar happen. One of the Language Arts Resource
teachers spoke to my 2nd grade classroom teachers about Biographical
fiction. One who is my friend and argued with the person came to me
laughing. She said tell me how many biography sections you have in the
library. I showed her the normal biography section. She smiled and
said,"I knew I was right". She then explained that about the resource
teachers and her inservice to them. She said I argued with her, but she
didn't sway. I figure she was talking about some type of historical
fiction that was like a biography and coined her own term. Maybe
something similar happen here.
