[LM_NET] Target: digital image sites for math and english

On Saturday a collegue and I are teaching a class for teachers on digital
images. The main focus is on using digital cameras and the images produced
in products.

However, one session during the day will be on using digital images, mostly
obtained from the internet, for teaching, touching on Visual Literacy. We
will also discuss copyright issues and digital images.

For this session I want to showcase a few places such as the American Memory
Collection, Library of Congress, where students and teachers can get good
digital images related to the curriculum.

I have been looking for and haven't found a few good sites showcasing
digital images related to math and to literature. I don't want clip art, and
I don't want math manipulatives, but sites with images for students to
explore the concepts.

If you have any candidates, would you please send to me, I will of course
post a hit.
