Hi all, About a week or so ago... maybe two, someone put together some great thoughts about lexile levels and book choices. I thought that I had saved it....apparently not...must have been too excited for Spring Break. I checked the archives, but I couldn't locate anything that looked familiar. A thumbnail sketch of the post questioned why we worry so much about lexile levels when kids are reading for enjoyment. Popular adult books have lexile levels that are not at our levels. It was just the comment I needed when putting together recommendations for our One School, One book (or One Author) program. I would like to cite the posting and would like to share some of the adult book lexiles as well as some others. Does anyone have that posting? Does anyone know where I can easily find lexile levels for other adult books? I know titlewave have some. Thanks in advance. This is the last week day of my Spring Break.... so I'm off to play.
