I was just listening to a story on ABC news about the comeback of the Bald Eagle. The newscaster mentioned that there are webcams which can bring images of the eagles into any place with a computer. Since I subscribe to LM_Net, I knew about the eagle webcams a month ago! (Thanks to Mary, Diane, and all the others who posted information about the eagles.) Lots of folks on LM_Net have been discussing the role of the library in introducing technology, literature, and information sources that are "cutting edge." Whatever decisions are made in all our libraries about the role all that new stuff is going to play, it's nice to have a source like LM_Net for discussion and debate. And eagles.
