Two schools in our district had the pleasure of having Bob Barner (San
Francisco) this week.
Was he fantastic or what?!!! The children were in awe. My school has over
600 students, so each of the three presentations filled the media center.
Their eyes seldom left Mr. Barner. It was so fun to watch how often they
would spontaneously break out in applause. He fills the 45 minutes with
drawing, singing, reading, question and answer time, tips for them to use
when writing and/or drawing -- rotating every few minutes. His method
certainly works. He is a very nice person, too.
He charges $1100.00 for three presentations. He can be reached through

Last year we enjoyed Susan Stevens Crummel. Both authors were super with the
kids--each with their very distinct personality and presentation style.
It was a fantastic day-- you know, the kind of day where you cannot stop
thinking about how lucky you are to be in this "biz"? and parents, teachers
and students stop you every two feet to tell you "Bob Barner is AWESOME!
Thanks for doing this for us." And, the principal thanks you and tells you
parents keep telling him how much they enjoyed it. THAT kind of day.
