Hello,

One of my 4th grade students did a book report on a book he's calling "Ghostbee."
He wanted to check it out again from the library--he swears he got it here. I can't
find this book on my shelf, in my catalog with a key word search or in Titlewave,
Amazon, the public library, by Googling, anything, under any spelling (ghostbee,
ghost bee, ghostby, ghost by, etc). Could this be one of Alvin Schwartz's scary
stories (those are checked out, so I can't look) even though the student says it
was not in one of those books. He said it had a kid with a brown coat on the cover.

Here's the plot as he has given it on his report (no author's name):
The book I read was called Ghostbee. It was about Halloween. In one of the scenes
it had a haunted house with ghost popping up everywhere. The ghost tried to scare
the children. In my opinion Ghostbee was a great book. I highly recommend it.

The assignment was to do a "parade float" and his is quite good with a 3-D black
house with yellow windows and ghosts popping out.

Does anyone know this book or story?
