Thanks to everyone who responded to my question. This is my first year in the library, and I want to make sure that I do a great job. Your input will help me accomplish this! Here is a list of the Children's Book Week activities people emailed me: 1. Take pictures of the staff with their favorite children's book and display the pictures in the library. 2. Create bookmarks. 3. Dress-up as a storybook character. 4. Have community volunteers read to the students. 5. Have the older students read to the younger students. 6. Students vote for their favorite book series. 7. A contest for students to guess how many words are in a popular title. 8. Write and illustrate your own book. 9. Write a poem to promote reading. 10.Create a new book cover for a book. Thank you again for the wonderful ideas!
