Here is my original question: I am a new librarian in a middle school with grades 6-7. I am having a difficult time figuring out a schedule that works for all of us. We have 65 minute classes so we are having a lesson, then time to check out books, or take AR quizzes as needed. We started having classes every other week. Some felt that this was too much and wanted to visit the library only once a month. I wonder is that enough? Please help me figure out a schedule that will work for all of us. I will post a hit with possible suggestions. Thanks. Here is a summary of my responses: Only one school that replied had a fixed schedule. Most schools have a combination fixed/flexible so that others can also use the library. The best advice was that I would have to find what works for us and that it would take time and patience and lots of communication. Thank you for all the responses.
