[LM_NET] TAR: Middle School Author Visits

Hello all,

After a few denied requests to the PTA to begin an author visit program
at my middle school I thought it would never happen. BUT, the PTA just
came to me saying they'd like to have Gail Carson Levine come to speak
about her new book Writing Magic: Creating Stories that Fly.

Has anyone heard her speak regarding this book, or anything else? Do
you know what her visits are like? Would you recommend her as a
speaker?

Also, are there any other authors that were particularly successful at
middle school visit?  Can anyone make a recommendation about any authors
or offer any advice?

All help and comments are appreciated!! I'll post a hit if requested.
