Students from our business department came to me today. As part of their curriculum, they need to set up a "Business" that makes money. They go through some sort of approved process and track what happens. This particular group would like to get a DVD from the movie store and have a day at the movies. They would charge admission for the movie as part of their business plan. I think this won't work, but because it is tied to their curriculum, I'd like to clarify that piece. I think they need to contact someone for permission to use the DVD in this manner. Or they need to go to some vendor and buy the rights and have them send a movie for a certain period of time for the performance. If they need to ask permission, where would they go to do this? If they need to order a DVD on a temporary basis, where would they get it? Marcia L.
