When a student says this, it usually sounds like they are waiting for
something delicious to eat and they can't wait to hear me read the book

At the moment that we persuade a child, any child, to cross that
threshold,
that magic threshold into a library, we change their lives forever, for
the
better. ~~Barack Obama

You see, I don't believe libraries should be drab places where people
sit in
silence, and that's been the main reason for our policy of employing
wild
animals as librarians. ~~Monty Python

I also use the same idea as Nancy...and because I am usually more
familiar with the book and/or author than the classroom teacher I can

usually add more to the story. I also tell them...you haven't heard
ME read it...at least this year! ;-)
