Yes, you skepticism monitor is working well. This is from a guy who  
self publishes and the books are not quality books, particularly for  
a library. This comes up on the list every once in a while. You won't  
find these in any reviews, like you said. They might be ok for a  
classroom that wants books for guided reading, but they are not for  
us. They also come under the guise of Bruce's Books...and he is Bruce  
Larkins... aka, BFAC, aka Literacy Empowerment Foundation.

Follow your training and be sure any money you spend is on books and  
materials that meet your selection criteria.

The one 'positive' thing about these books and your present  
situation, is they are skinny little books, so they would more easily  
fit in your present library! ;-)
