Below is my original request. We are still trying to find the story. We now believe that the author was not Ray Bradbury. We have found a little more information - the story appeared in a literature textbook used in Texas maybe 10 years ago. The teacher does not remember the publisher but remembers that the books for different levels each had a different name. The one she had was called "insights". She thinks it was the 9th grade text but it could have been in the 11th grade. Can anyone help? Teacher's best memory of the story. " This story or short drama was in our literature textbook and the characters were two boys who find a secret code because everything is now done by computer voice. The secret code turns out to be the alphabet. It makes the point that language is "dissolving". Deborah Stafford Gen. H.H.
